FAQs
Why is my child’s tutoring being reduced?
- Funding is not available at this time because of federal government delays in processing Jordan’s Principle requests.

When will my child's tutoring schedule change?
- Changes will begin the week of June 30, 2025.
How long will this last?
- We don’t know how long this change will last.
- As funding resumes, we will return to the regular tutoring schedule.
What is Chapter One doing about Jordan’s Principle delays?
- We are committed to supporting the reading of First Nations children and we are doing everything we can to secure funding.
- We are working with Indigenous leaders, government representatives and anybody else who can lend a hand.
Are all children in at-home tutoring affected by this change?
- No. Interim funding provided by Nations, private foundations and grants will sustain the regular tutoring schedule for some children for a limited time.
